Are we the program for you?
We believe that sports can be transformative in a student’s life. Sports can help promote commitment, teach resilience, and a competitive drive – all of which are crucial fundamentals to success in life beyond basketball. When you are able to compete at a high level in basketball, tremendous opportunities can open themselves up for students if they are willing to put in the time and hard work. We are committed to helping those student athletes who want to play basketball beyond high school to get the training and exposure they need to secure that college scholarship or career professionally.
Vince and Stephanie Fowler, founders of Minnesota Elite, get excited about the opportunities that sports can present for kids. As former basketball players at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, they have benefited from the ability to have your full college tuition paid for by a sport you love. Vince also went on to play professional basketball overseas in the Czech Republic as well as a coaching career for the Boys Varsity Basketball Team at Edina High School and many other subsequent coaching positions.
As parents to four athletes, they are passionate about creating an AAU basketball program that doesn’t limit kids. Athletes can compete at the highest level and are given opportunities to thrive. We believe that opportunities are abundant and because of that, there is a spot on every college roster for an athlete who is willing to put in the work.
We also know that sports are an absolute commitment from the athletes as well as the parents and it has to feel in alignment with your vision and values. As business owners and busy parents, we understand the necessity for organization and communication and make that a hallmark of how Minnesota Elite operates.
Lastly, we know that your reputation matters. How you are represented by the team you play for matters. While Minnesota Elite exists to be highly competitive on a national stage, operating our program and developing our athletes into polished and respected athletes is a top priority for our program. It is the edge that sets the elite athletes apart from great athletes.
